  1. I have many seniors for neighbors and I am the one they typically ask to help with small tasks. This week I ran our bingo game because the lady who normally runs it needed to spend time with her sister who was sick.

  2. I made my sister's kids pencil pouches for the new school year. They're all finally in school! They were so excited to see each pouch especially made for each kid with their favorite colors. It was fun to see their happiness :)

  3. My neighbours are moving house over the weekend so for the last couple of days I've taken care of her children so she can get on with packing in peace!
    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  4. With flooding here in Alberta, there have been lots of opportunities to volunteer. My sewing group is making quilts. We have donated spare baby equipment. There are also many pets in shelters, so we took blankets and bought food for them. This week we are giving books and DVDs to the library to help with all they lost.

  5. A friend asked me to help her and her daughter pick out fabrics for her wedding and I wound up volunteering to make the flower girl dresses and all the table runners :-) cummingsnadine@aol.com

  6. I take my mom on vacations. One of my other sisters (I have 3) takes her sometimes, but I take my mom at least once a year. A few of the places we've been include Spain, Puerto Rico, San Francisco, Montreal and a train trip to Montana. This year, she wants to go to Buffalo (I used to live there and she loves it), so this time, we're off to Buffalo. :)

  7. Oh my, oh my! I love those DS quilts fabrics!! I love doing surprises, especially when the recipients dont expect it at all, and i really think it over whether the gifts would please them or not, like if it matches their clothes, or whether they currently need it.,, lastly I put some elements of humour there, and voila!:) hope you are having a great weekend there!;D

  9. On Monday I went out with a work colleague who is currently off with stress from bullying - we only went to Ikea but it was so fun to be away from the everyday troubles and just chill and do some fun browsing and daydreaming! We giggled a lot and I think it made her feel a little more connected after being off fr so long.

  11. I spent the weekend pretty much bored to tears - but my husband had a great time visiting with old classmates and friends along with his sister and family. Does that count as a good deed? I know he really appreciated it

  12. I made a special trip to the store in 90+ degree weather to get my husband the mint icecream that is the only thing that settles his stomach when he has a migraine.

  13. Our friends just remodeled their little house, adding a second story which dramatically changed the face/profile of their home so as a housewarming gift, I drew a little pen sketch of their house from the street and block-printed their address underneath. (Eight years ago, they let me get married there - in their dining room.) It was free and easy to do and I think they really liked it.

  14. I took Emma to see the local play put on in town because one of her friends was in it. It took up most of my Sunday afternoon, but it meant a lot to both the girl and her family and to Emma. She was mesmerized. Sometimes the little things mean the most, don't they?
p.s. Sending you a great big hug!

  15. You know I am pretty bummed and depressed now that I can't even think of a good deed I have done lately. I guess it doesn't help that I never leave my house or have interaction with real live people. Does driving courteously and donating stuff to Goodwill count?
